The Tufts University Police Department will be hosting several Advanced Active Incident Response (AAIR) training programs this summer on our Medford/Somerville campus:

  • June 29–June 30 (Residential Quad area)
  • July 7–8
  • August 18–19

During these trainings, you may notice:

  • Increased public safety personnel and emergency vehicle presence.
  • Simulated emergencies and responses on campus, such as simulated injuries, medical and law enforcement responses, and loud noises.
  • There is no threat to the campus community.

These nationally recognized courses bring together law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, dispatch, and other public safety professionals to strengthen coordinated response capabilities during active threats and other critical incidents. Through a combination of classroom instruction and realistic scenario-based exercises, participants develop and refine the skills necessary to respond effectively to rapidly evolving emergencies.

Reminders will be sent out before the future training dates. For additional questions about the training, please email Public Safety or call 617-627-3030.

Thank you for your continued support as we invest in the safety and security of the Tufts community.
