TUPD Chief Yolanda Smith receives civil rights award

TUPD Chief of Police and DPS Executive Director Yolanda Smith was awarded the Civil Rights Law Enforcement Leadership by Action Award from  the National Organization of Law Enforcement Executives in New Orleans on Sunday, August 11. 

Praised for implementing transformational initiatives at Tufts University over the last three years, Chief Smith's work has successfully influenced law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Massachusetts. 

Chief Smith is also a member of the MA chapter of National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).
