Tufts University Police Department will be participating in No Shave November once again this year, raising money for mental health resources for veterans. In collaboration with Home Base, TUPD officers who donate to the organization will have the opportunity to grow out beards or paint their nails.

Home Base was founded by MBTA Transit Police/Boston Gang Unit Detective Kurt Power, a U.S. Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. This marks the 8th Annual Home Base No Shave campaign to raise awareness and funds for critical, life-saving care for veterans and their families, allowing them to heal from invisible wounds, such as post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries.

Home Base’s No Shave November campaign has raised over $1.2 MILLION in funding for critical mental health and brain injury care, all at no cost for wounded and injured service members and their families through a partnership with Mass General Hospital. To donate, visit the Massachusetts General Hospital website.
