On January 19th, Lieutenant Jameson Yee was awarded the Sean Collier Award for Innovations in Community-Oriented Policing by the Massachusetts Campus Law Enforcement Association (MACLEA) at Framingham State University.

In November of 2023, MACLEA announced a call for nominations for their annual awards ceremony. Lieutenant Yee was nominated along with a number of other candidates from colleges and universities across the Commonwealth and was selected by the MACLEA awards committee, chaired by Endicott College Police Chief Kerry Ramsdell.

Lieutenant Yee has a long history of community engagement in his tenure at Tufts and at his previous institution. He coordinates interagency events across the Commonwealth including the Toys for Tots Cruiser Convoy and the Massachusetts Pink Patch Project.

Tufts is known for its high level of community engagement and Lieutenant Yee is the second officer from Tufts University to receive this award.
