Community Advisory 12/28/24

The Somerville Police Department is actively investigating several off-campus house break-ins near the Medford/Somerville campus. The Tufts University Police Department is working collectively with our law enforcement partners and will update further when there is more information to share.  

These incidents have been reported by residents who returned home and found doors unsecured or other indications that someone had been in the residence while they were gone. 

The Tufts Department of Public Safety wants to remind all Tufts community members to immediately contact the police if you experience any suspicious activity. 

Please be vigilant and immediately call 911 to report any possible house break.  You can also contact the Tufts Police Department by calling 617-627-6911.

Please take safety measures and ensure that all doors, windows, and any other entry points are secured, and when possible, leave some inside lights on inside the residence when you are not at home.
